13 Months and Walking

So, too long like usual... I totally forgot I even had this blog. So, Charlie is officially walking all over the place now. Not to the point where I can take him on a walk down the street, but he rarely crawls now. It has been such a joy to watch him progress. Chris and I take the time each day to thank the Lord for the blessing that our son is, thank Him for the time He's given us with him.

It has been so neat as parents being able to see new analogies of our relationship with God. For example: The delight we receive is immense when Charlie turns and offers us a smile, a wave, a hug, anything indicating he recognizes us, appreciates us, loves us. This is similar to how God delights in us as we turn to Him and demonstrate how we love and appreciate Him. Reminds me of a great song.

"How He loves us"

Verse 1:
He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

Pre-Chorus:
And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

Chorus 1:
Yeah, He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves.

Verse 2:
We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

Chorus 2:
He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us...
